 hroughout your quest in Nightmare Creatures you can occasionally stumble across powerful items to aid you, most of these are one use only, however also included are the Weapon Upgrades, these are items which are almost essential to your quest, and replace your current staff or sword with a better one, allowing you to do vastly enhanced amounts of damage to the enemy and also they increase the variety of monsters you can chop up with your hard hit attacks. For instance, at the beginning of the game, you will only be able to chop up Zombies with your hard hit, however when you get the upgrade you will be able to chop up more things, like Pepys' monsters and Banshees.
 ow naturally the Weapon Upgrades are very well hidden and there are 3 for each character, but the guide below will tell you where to find each one. Note that if you miss an upgrade on a particular level then it will appear in a secondry place later on.
Weapon Upgrade 1: Location 1
India Docks. When you have cleaned out everything on the ship by the dockside go to the far left (From where you boarded it) and you will see a plank, look down and you will see the Weapon Upgrade and a crate on the ground below. Get the jump right and leap down from the plank to where the Upgrade is, smash the wall of boxes to the side to return to the normal area again. |

Weapon Upgrade 1: Location 2
Queenhite Docks. After you have witnessed Crowley's ambush by a Docker and a Thames' monster then run forward, kill the insect that leaps out, and turn to the right and run up to the top until you see an enclosed area formed by crates, go into the centre and you will find the Upgrade. |

Weapon Upgrade 2: Location 1
City. Now it is difficult to tell you where this Upgrade is, so most likely you will stumble across it yourself, but if you still can't find it, then go to the section where the Zombies and Faceless Man leap out of the windows at you. Turn around and run along that wall until you reach a little side passage (This is along the wall away from the big Gate where the Spider stands/stood). Down this side passage you will find a small enclosed area. With the Upgrade. |

Weapon Upgrade 2: Location 2
Marylbone. Just before you go to face the Giant Gargoyle Bosses take a look to the left of the white gate, there the Upgrade stands in the corner. Simple. |

Weapon Upgrade 3: Location 1
Bloomsbury. By far the most difficult Upgrade to retrieve. For this you will need to go to the section where you meet your first Hellhound as it leaps from the flames. After you've killed it and the Gargoyle that leaps out the window at you, you must run down the flaming passage where the Hellhound came from. Now, to do this without dying (Remember when you die you will be placed back at the beginning of the passage) you must put Yellow or Red Health Orbs as your item and just constantly use them whenever a bit of green appears in your health bar. At the end of this passage you will find loads of items and the final Upgrade, sheer destructive power! |

Weapon Upgrade 2: Location 2
Westminster. If you take the winding stairs up after seeing Crowley bleeding, you will have to go across the balcony of the main courtyard fighting a few Hellhounds and Red demons but at the end there is a doorway and you will find yourself in a room with two Faceless Men. Kill them and take the 6 pistols from the cabinets around the centre of the room. Next, use one to blow up the barrel in the corner. Go into the new room this reveals - kill the Faceless Man and kick or strike the right side of the bookshelf in this new room. It will move aside to reveal a new corridor. Down here you will find a Red Health Orb, an Extra Life/Heart and the Upgrade. |
