n 19th Century London the streets were no safe place, robbers and pickpockets roamed the night streets preying on the unwary. Perhaps one of the most terrifying tales of London crime is that of Jose Manuel - El demonicos. Manuel was born in his native country of Spain to a convent of travelling gypsies in the late eighteen-hundreds. As he grew older his habits and growing obsession with knives of all kinds had him as a focus of escalating worry within the convent. When two of his three brothers were found butchered around the camp, each with a selection of knives buried deep into their bodies - the culprit was obvious. anuel was hunted for days but to no avail, he was long gone and had already boarded a ship set for London. There he began his reign of anarchy, slaughtering the unsuspecting city folk who were foolish enough to stray from their houses at night. Jose Manuel was never found, although some monstrous remains were discovered, dismembered and scattered in a warehouse in the Pimlico area...
If this was Manuel then he certainly got what he deserved...
